Meet Dulari - the regal mascot of Anantgram
I’m Dulari. I came to Anantgram when I lost my mother. For those few initial days, I needed a lot of comfort and love, so I stayed with the humans in their container rooms. I was slowly introduced to my herd and became strong enough to join them in the spacious goat pen. I was chosen as the Anantgram mascot because the binding thread at Anantgram is love, not just for nature and people but also for all living beings. I now see humans wearing t-shirts with my picture on them!
WHAT DRIVES US
Food. Wholesome food. Healthy food. Natural food. If there is one universal connector, it is food. In a swiftly developing cosmetic world, we have rediscovered what natural food tastes like. Food that has not been altered by processes and interventions.
Far from the madding crowd, Anantgram is a new lens to view the world through. A lens that we believe can bring it all back.
Safe food. Ethical farming practices. Wisely used farmlands. Respected farmers. We believe in a system where everything is important and everything has its place. And there is a place for you, as well!

Meet the earthen dam at Anantgram
The earthen dam, designed under the water harvesting plan was spearheaded by Mr. Ayyappa Masagi, the Water Warrior of India. He holds the Limca Book of World Records for building lakes! Built to hold up to 20 million liters of water, the dam will not only help Anantgram, but farming communities across an area of 2 sq. km. In a drought prone area, the dam is a demonstration of the connected environment. At Anantgram, we walk the talk.
WHAT WE DO
Farming. Integrated farming. Cohesive farming. Permaculture farming. Anantgram is the integration of a spectrum of best farming models, intended at making the whole far greater than the sum of its parts.
We believe we cannot go wrong when we are intent on replicating nature. The principle we follow is simple and binary:

New ideas, fierce passion, bold experiments and wild hope are always welcome at Anantgram. Most of all, however, the culture we strive to farm is one of respect: respect for the land, for those who work with it, for the ecosystem, for everything we produce, and for each other.

Permaculture is the philosophy of permanence and Anantgram believes in it. It is guided by the principles of earth care, people care and fair share. It is not about the impact of actions in the next season, but in the next century and for the next generation. As a farming methodology, Permaculture is about integration using small and slow solutions.
Cutting edge technology is an important part of Anantgram’s philosophy - that the right tool with the right intent has the power to change the world. Whether it is low-tech hand tools or high-tech gadgetry, it is about having the most efficient tool for the job. Efficiency is a way of showing responsibility towards the resources that nature has provided.
Some of the highlights at Anantgram are:
- A farm designed using GPS trackers and Google Earth
- State of the art irrigation system from the world leader in irrigation - Netafim
- A 20 KW solar power station
- A weather station that monitors the farm weather from anywhere
- An in-house soil and water test facility
WHERE WE STAND TODAY
Anantgram has taken root. In the minds of the community committed to it and also across the 100 acres of farmland in Anantapur district. We have carefully mapped our relationship with the land, learning to listen well, ask the right questions and act accordingly. And the land has not disappointed us with its response!
With its promise of going on and on, Anantgram spells sustainability in its inclusive, supportive ecosystem. The phased-out approach to augment the fertility of the land has worked well as we strive to mimic nature, and stay close to its principles.

Meet the biodiversity pond at Anantgram
You have to see it to believe what it is! It began when a huge pit was dug and filled with water. Later, a few selected plants were added into the water. Within a few days, a variety of plants began to spring up, and countless frogs, fish and other living beings began to make their home in the water. The pond provided the right supportive environment which led to an explosion of life! It is now a highlight at Anantgram and people come to see the “bio-diversity pond”. It makes us proud!
WHAT WE WANT TO ACHIEVE
We have a vision for Anantgram to be a self-sustaining ecosystem of diversity, built on a firmly integrated structure. This philosophy of design is deep-rooted and intimately connected to our love for farming. It is a love that works on the principle of innate balance and reciprocity.
At Anantgram, we also believe in giving back to society. Hence, we help facilitate workshops by renowned Permaculture practitioners from across the globe. We always encourage learning, whether simple, or advanced courses.

Meet the sparrows at Anantgram
A few years ago, there used to be a lot more of us. Things began to change when our natural habitat and environment began to disappear. There are more buildings and lesser trees. There are more vehicles and lesser gardens. There is more pollution and lesser air to breathe. We realized we had to move to faraway places where we could see the sky, build our homes and find the kind of food we eat. We found them in Anantgram. Anantgram is familiar…it feels like home.
